Chapter 1: The Moment Nobody Expected

Isaiah and Brooke had been spending more time together lately, but neither of them had openly admitted what was really happening between them. They tried to keep their feelings private, especially because they knew their families would have plenty to say about it.

That evening, Brooke and Isaiah were standing outside, talking quietly. Brooke smiled as Isaiah told her something that made her laugh.

“You know you make me forget about all the drama,” Brooke said softly.

Isaiah smiled. “Maybe that’s because you need somebody who actually brings you peace.”

For a moment, they simply stared at each other.

Then Isaiah stepped closer.

Brooke didn’t move away.

Their eyes met, and before either of them could say another word, they shared a kiss.

Neither noticed that Bethany and Larry had just walked up behind them.

Larry nodded.

“BROOKE?! ISAIAH?!”

Brooke covered her face with her hands.

“Larry, please—”

“No, no, no!” Larry interrupted. “You two need to explain what we just saw!”

Isaiah tried to remain calm.

“It’s not what you think.”

Bethany raised an eyebrow.

“Not what we think? Isaiah, we literally watched you kiss her!”

Chapter 3: The Questions Begin

Brooke knew there was no escaping anymore.

Bethany stepped closer.

“How long has this been happening?”

Brooke looked at Isaiah.

Isaiah looked back at her.

Neither answered.

That silence told Bethany everything.

“Oh, so this has been going on for a while!”

Larry shook his head.

“I can't believe this. Y'all really thought nobody was going to find out?”

Isaiah finally spoke.

“We weren’t trying to hurt anybody. We just wanted some time to figure out what we actually felt.”

Brooke nodded.

“That’s the truth.”

Bethany was still shocked, but underneath her anger, she could see that Brooke was serious.

“So you actually like Isaiah?”

Brooke took a deep breath.

“Yes.”

Larry looked at Isaiah.

“And you?”

Isaiah didn’t hesitate.

“I love being around her.”

The room suddenly became quiet again.

Bethany looked at Larry.

Everyone turned around.

The newcomer looked at Isaiah, then Brooke, then Bethany and Larry.

“Why does everybody look like somebody just got caught doing something?”

Larry immediately pointed toward Isaiah and Brooke.

“You missed EVERYTHING!”

Brooke groaned.

“Larry, don't start!”

But the newcomer’s expression suddenly changed after realizing what had happened.

“Wait… you two are together?”

Isaiah looked at Brooke.

Brooke nodded slowly.

“Yes. We are.”

But then the newcomer revealed something that made everyone completely silent.

“I actually came here because I needed to talk to Brooke about something… and it has nothing to do with Isaiah.”

Brooke’s face suddenly became serious.

“What do you mean?”

The newcomer looked directly at her.

“I found out something today. And once you hear it, everything is going to change.”

Bethany and Larry exchanged shocked looks.

Isaiah stepped closer to Brooke.

“What did you find out?”
