Brooke Couldn’t Stop Crying—Then She Suddenly Collapsed in Her Room! But What Happened Next Shocked Everyone!
The house had never felt this quiet.
Brooke slowly walked down the hallway toward her bedroom, tears streaming down her face.
She had tried to stay strong.
She had tried to pretend that everything was okay.
But after everything that had happened with Larry and Bethany, she couldn't hold her emotions in anymore.
The moment she reached her bedroom, she slammed the door shut.
“Just leave me alone!” she screamed.
Bethany stood in the hallway, worried.
“Brooke, please open the door.”
There was no response.
Larry stood several feet behind Bethany, looking completely defeated.
“Give her some time,” he said quietly.
Bethany turned around.
“She needs someone right now.”
Larry lowered his head.
“I know.”
Inside the bedroom, Brooke sat on the edge of her bed.
She covered her face with both hands and began crying harder.
“Why does everything keep happening to me?” she whispered.
Her mind replayed the argument over and over again.
Larry's angry voice.
Her own harsh words.
And then the moment everything changed.
She touched her cheek and began crying again.
“I never thought he would do that…”
Brooke grabbed her phone and looked at the screen.
There were several missed calls.
She ignored them.
Then another call came in.
Brooke stared at the name.
She couldn't bring herself to answer.
The phone stopped ringing.
A few seconds later, a message appeared.
“Please call me. I know what happened.”
Brooke's eyes widened.
“How do they know?”
She stood up quickly.
But suddenly, she felt dizzy.
She grabbed the side of the dresser.
“Whoa…”
Her vision became blurry.
Brooke tried to take another step.
Her legs suddenly became weak.
She reached for the bed—
but missed.
Brooke collapsed onto the floor.
Her phone slipped from her hand and landed beside her.
Outside the room, Bethany heard a loud thud.
Her face immediately changed.
“BROOKE?”
No answer.
Bethany knocked on the door.
“Brooke! Open the door!”
Silence.
She knocked harder.
“Brooke!”
Larry rushed toward the hallway.
“What happened?”
“I heard something fall!”
Larry tried the door.
It was locked.
“Brooke! Can you hear me?”
Nothing.
Bethany started panicking.
“Something's wrong!”
Larry stepped back.
“We're getting that door open.”
He pushed against it.
Once.
Twice.
On the third attempt, the door flew open.
Bethany screamed.
“BROOKE!”
Brooke was lying unconscious on the floor.
Her phone was several inches away from her hand.
Larry froze.
For a moment, he couldn't move.
Then he rushed toward her.
“Brooke!”
Bethany dropped to her knees beside her.
“Baby, wake up!”
Brooke didn't respond.
Larry immediately grabbed his phone.
“I'm calling for an ambulance.”
Bethany held Brooke's hand.
“Please wake up, sweetheart.”
Brooke remained completely still.
Larry looked terrified.
“This is my fault.”
Bethany looked at him.
“Larry, right now we need to focus on Brooke.”
Within minutes, emergency responders arrived.
They carefully checked Brooke and began treating her.
Bethany followed them toward the ambulance.
Larry stood outside, staring at Brooke.
As the ambulance doors closed, he whispered,
“I'm sorry.”
The ambulance drove away.
Bethany climbed into the car behind it.
Larry followed.
But before leaving, he noticed Brooke's phone lying on the floor.
He picked it up.
The screen suddenly lit up.
A new message had arrived.
Larry looked at it.
His expression immediately changed.
The message said:
“Brooke doesn't know the truth yet. Don't let her find out.”
Larry stared at the screen.
“What truth?”
He quickly opened the message thread.
There were several previous messages.
Larry's hands began shaking.
Bethany called from outside.
“Larry! Come on!”
He put the phone in his pocket.
“I’m coming.”
At the hospital, doctors rushed Brooke into an examination room.
Bethany waited anxiously outside.
Larry arrived several minutes later.
He looked worried.
Bethany noticed his expression.
“What happened?”
Larry hesitated.
“I found something on Brooke's phone.”
“What?”
Larry pulled out the phone.
“There are messages from someone telling Brooke that she doesn't know the truth.”
Bethany's face went pale.
“What truth?”
“I don't know.”
Before they could continue, a doctor walked out.
“Are you Brooke's family?”
Bethany immediately stood.
“Yes. How is she?”
The doctor took a breath.
“She is stable for now.”
Bethany nearly collapsed with relief.
“But…”
Larry's face tightened.
“But what?”
The doctor looked at both of them.
“We found something that needs further testing.”
“What is it?” Bethany asked.
“We noticed signs that may explain why she suddenly collapsed. We need to run additional tests before we can tell you exactly what's happening.”
Bethany's eyes filled with tears.
“Can we see her?”
“Soon.”
Larry sat down.
He stared at the floor.
Then Brooke's phone vibrated again.
Another message.
Larry looked at the screen.
This time, the message said:
“If Brooke wakes up, she will finally learn who her real father is.”
Larry's entire face changed.
He looked at Bethany.
She immediately noticed.
“What does it say?”
Larry slowly turned the phone toward her.
Bethany read the message.
Her eyes widened.
“Her… real father?”
Neither of them spoke.
For years, there had already been questions surrounding Brooke's family history.
But neither Larry nor Bethany expected the truth to come back now.
Suddenly, the doctor returned.
“Brooke is awake.”
Bethany immediately rushed toward the room.
Larry followed.
Brooke slowly opened her eyes.
She looked exhausted.
“Where am I?”
Bethany grabbed her hand.
“You're in the hospital.”
Brooke looked confused.
“What happened?”
“You fainted in your room.”
Brooke looked toward Larry.
He couldn't look her in the eyes.
Brooke noticed immediately.
“Why are you acting like that?”
Larry remained silent.
Brooke frowned.
“Larry… what happened?”
Bethany looked at Larry.
Larry finally spoke.
“Brooke, there's something you need to know.”
Brooke's expression changed.
“What?”
Larry held up her phone.
“I saw the messages.”
Brooke's eyes widened.
“You went through my phone?”
“No. It was lying on the floor. A message came in.”
Brooke became nervous.
“What message?”
Larry hesitated.
“It said you don't know the truth about your biological father.”
Brooke froze.
“What?”
Bethany looked away.
Brooke immediately noticed.
“Wait…”
She looked between Larry and Bethany.
“You both know something.”
Neither answered.
Brooke's voice became shaky.
“Tell me the truth.”
Larry took a deep breath.
“We don't know the whole truth yet.”
Brooke started crying again.
“Then why is someone telling me that you're hiding something from me?”
Before Larry could answer, Brooke's phone suddenly rang.
The screen showed an unknown number.
Everyone stared at it.
Brooke slowly reached for the phone.
Larry stopped her.
“Don't answer it.”
Brooke looked at him.
“Why?”
The phone continued ringing.
Then a voicemail notification appeared.
Brooke pressed play.
A man's voice came through the speaker.
“Brooke… if you're hearing this, it's time you learned the truth.”
Brooke's eyes filled with tears.
The voice continued:
“Larry is not the person you think he is.”
The room went completely silent.
Larry's face turned pale.
Bethany covered her mouth.
And Brooke stared at both of them in shock.
Then the voicemail ended with one final sentence:
“Your real father is closer than you think.”
Brooke looked at Larry.
Then Bethany.
And suddenly, the hospital room door opened.
A man nobody expected walked inside.
Brooke stared at him.
“Wait…”
Her eyes widened.
“I know you…”
The man looked directly at Larry.
And Larry whispered:
“Why are you here?”
The shocking truth was finally about to come out.
