Brooke had always tried to stay strong.
Even when life became complicated, she kept telling everyone that she was okay. She smiled in front of her family, laughed when people expected her to laugh, and pretended that Isaiah’s mistakes didn't hurt as much as they really did.

For weeks, she had noticed that Isaiah was acting differently. His phone was constantly beside him, he avoided answering questions, and whenever Brooke asked where he had been, his explanations never seemed to make sense.
One evening, Brooke finally confronted him.
“Isaiah, I need you to be honest with me. Is there something you're hiding?”
Isaiah looked away.
“Brooke, you're overthinking everything.”
That answer wasn't enough.
Brooke continued asking questions until Isaiah finally admitted that he had betrayed her trust.
Brooke stood completely still.
She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
“After everything I've done for you?”
Isaiah tried to explain himself, but Brooke couldn't listen anymore.

That night, Brooke locked herself in her room.
Her phone kept ringing.
It was Wayne.
Then Destiny.
Then several other family members.
But Brooke didn't answer.
She sat alone, looking at old pictures and messages from happier times. Every memory seemed to remind her of how much she had trusted Isaiah.
She kept asking herself the same question:
“How could someone I loved hurt me this badly?”
The next morning, Brooke still hadn't come out.
Destiny became worried.
She knocked on the door.
“Brooke? It's me. Please open the door.”
There was no response.
Destiny immediately called Wayne.
“Something isn't right. Brooke isn't answering anyone.”
Wayne rushed over.
He knocked repeatedly.
“Brooke, it's Wayne. Open the door. We need to talk.”
Still nothing.
The family became increasingly concerned.
Wayne told everyone to stay calm and immediately contacted emergency help rather than trying to handle the situation themselves.
After a tense wait, Brooke was found alive but in serious emotional distress.
Everyone was devastated.
Wayne stayed beside her and told her,
“Brooke, what Isaiah did does not determine your worth. You are loved. You have people who need you, and this moment does not have to define your future.”
Brooke began crying.
“I just wanted somebody to choose me.”
Wayne answered,
“You don't have to beg someone to choose you. You have to choose yourself first.”

When Isaiah heard that Brooke was in crisis, he was completely shaken.
He rushed over, but Wayne stopped him before he could enter.
“You need to understand something,” Wayne said firmly. “This isn't about getting back together right now. Brooke needs safety, support, and time.”
Isaiah lowered his head.
“I never wanted this to happen.”
Wayne replied,
“Then you need to take responsibility for your actions.”
Isaiah began crying.
“I hurt the person who trusted me the most.”
Wayne nodded.
“And now you have to live with that responsibility. But Brooke's recovery cannot depend on whether you apologize or whether she forgives you.”
Brooke Makes a Powerful Decision
Later, Brooke finally spoke.
She admitted that Isaiah's betrayal had made her feel like her entire life had fallen apart.
But she also realized something important.
“I can't let one person's decision destroy my entire future.”
Everyone became emotional.
Brooke decided that she would focus on herself, her family, and getting professional support.
She told Isaiah that she wasn't ready to forgive him.
“I don't hate you,” she said. “But I need distance. I need to heal.”
Isaiah nodded.
