One evening, he found Brooke sitting quietly in her room, staring at her phone.

"Brooke, what's going on?" he asked.

She tried to smile.

"I'm okay."

Larry knew she wasn't.

"You don't look okay."

Larry's face fell.

"Is she going to be okay?"

"We're monitoring her closely," the doctor replied. "She needs rest and support. Right now, we need to make sure there isn't another underlying problem."

Larry nodded.

He wanted to stay beside Brooke, but he also couldn't stop thinking about Isaiah.

Then something unexpected happened.

Isaiah arrived at the hospital.

He had heard that Brooke had been admitted and wanted to see her.

Larry saw him walking down the hallway.

His expression immediately changed.

"Larry, I just want to see Brooke."

"After everything you've done, you think you can just walk in here?"

Larry's anger grew.

Isaiah looked toward the hospital room.

"I never wanted this to happen."

Larry replied firmly, "Then you should have thought about the consequences before you broke her trust."

The argument attracted attention from hospital staff.

Isaiah eventually backed away.

But instead of leaving calmly, he suddenly turned and started walking quickly toward the hospital exit.

Larry immediately noticed.

"Isaiah!"

Isaiah didn't stop.

Larry followed him down the hallway.

When Isaiah reached the exit, Larry caught up with him.

"Why are you running?"

Isaiah turned around.

"I'm leaving."

Larry looked at him suspiciously.

"Why?"

"I don't want any more problems."

Larry shook his head.

"You don't get to walk away just because things have become uncomfortable."

Isaiah insisted that he hadn't done anything that justified being stopped.

Larry told him that the situation needed to be handled properly and that he wasn't going to allow anyone to interfere with Brooke's recovery.

Then Larry took out his phone and called the police.

Isaiah immediately became nervous.

"You called the police?"

Larry nodded.

"I'm not making accusations. I'm asking them to come and handle the situation properly."

Isaiah stood near the entrance while waiting.

A short time later, officers arrived and spoke with both men.

Larry explained what had happened and told them that Isaiah had tried to leave after being confronted.

The officers listened carefully.

They also made it clear that cheating by itself isn't automatically a criminal offense, but if there were any separate allegations of harassment, threats, assault, trespassing, or another actual crime, those matters would need to be investigated based on evidence.

Isaiah was asked to cooperate and remain available while the situation was clarified.

Meanwhile, Brooke was still inside the hospital.

When she eventually woke up, she asked the nurse where Larry was.

A few minutes later, Larry entered the room.

Brooke looked worried.

"Dad, what happened?"

Larry sat beside her.

"Don't worry about anything right now. Your only job is to get better."

Brooke noticed his serious expression.

"Is Isaiah here?"

Larry paused.

"He came to the hospital."

Brooke's eyes filled with emotion.

"I don't want to see him."

Larry nodded.

"You don't have to."

That answer seemed to give Brooke some relief.

She closed her eyes and whispered, "I just want everything to stop."

Larry held her hand.

"It will. We're going to take this one day at a time."

Later, Brooke asked Larry what had happened outside.

Larry told her that Isaiah had tried to leave after the confrontation and that the police had been called to make sure everything remained under control.

Brooke became emotional.

"I don't want anyone fighting because of me."

Larry shook his head.

Brooke nodded.

For the first time since everything began, she realized that she didn't need to confront Isaiah herself.

She simply needed time to heal.

The next morning, the doctor returned with another update.

Brooke's condition had improved, but she needed rest and would have to avoid unnecessary stress.

Larry promised that he would make sure she had the support she needed.

Brooke looked at him and whispered:

"Maybe this is the moment I finally let Isaiah go."

Larry squeezed her hand.

"Maybe it is."

Brooke looked toward the window.
