When Larry Took Bethany to the Shopping Mall, Sharra Showed Up and Caused a Scene in Front of Everyone!
It was supposed to be a peaceful afternoon for Larry and Bethany.
After everything their family had been through, Larry wanted to do something simple that would take Bethany’s mind off all the arguments, stress, and problems at home.
“Bethany, get ready,” Larry said as he walked into the room. “We’re going shopping.”
Bethany looked surprised.
“Shopping? Right now?”
Larry smiled. “Yeah. You’ve been through enough lately. I just want you to relax for a few hours.”
Bethany smiled for the first time that day.
“Okay. Give me a few minutes.”
A little later, Larry and Bethany arrived at the shopping mall. They walked through the entrance together, talking and laughing. Larry even insisted on carrying Bethany’s bags while she looked at clothes and accessories.
For a moment, everything felt normal.
Bethany stopped in front of a store window.
“Larry, look at that dress!”
Larry laughed. “You like it?”
“I love it!”
“Then go try it on.”
Bethany smiled and walked inside.
Neither of them noticed that someone else had just entered the mall.
Sharra.
Sharra had seen Larry’s car outside.
She immediately became suspicious.
“Why is Larry here?” she whispered.
Then she spotted him through the store window.
And when she saw Bethany standing beside him, her expression completely changed.
“What is SHE doing with Larry?”
Sharra marched toward the store.
Inside, Larry was helping Bethany choose between two outfits.
“This one,” Larry said.
Bethany laughed. “You always pick the expensive one!”
“Because you deserve it.”
Suddenly, a loud voice came from behind them.
“DESERVE IT?!”
Larry froze.
Bethany turned around.
Sharra was standing at the entrance of the store.
“Sharra…” Larry said quietly.
Sharra walked straight toward them.
“So this is what you’re doing?” she demanded.
Bethany immediately stepped back.
“Sharra, please don't start something here.”
But Sharra wasn't listening.
“You told me you were busy, Larry!”
Larry frowned.
“I never said I was coming here alone.”
“You didn't tell me you were bringing HER!”
Several shoppers began looking in their direction.
Larry lowered his voice.
“Sharra, this isn't the place for this.”
“Oh, now you're embarrassed?” Sharra shouted. “You're not embarrassed enough to take Bethany shopping in front of everybody?”
Bethany looked uncomfortable.
“Larry, maybe we should leave.”
But Sharra stepped in front of them.
“No! Nobody is leaving until Larry tells me the truth.”
Larry sighed.
“There is nothing to explain. Bethany and I came here to shop.”
“To shop?” Sharra laughed bitterly. “You expect me to believe that?”
Bethany finally spoke up.
“Sharra, whatever problem you have with Larry, leave me out of it.”
Sharra turned toward Bethany.
“You always say that, but somehow you're always standing next to him!”
The tension grew.
People were now openly watching.
A store employee approached them.
“Ma’am, please keep your voices down.”
Sharra ignored him.
“Larry, answer me one question,” she said. “Are you still choosing Bethany over me?”
Larry stared at her.
“Sharra, this isn't about choosing anybody.”
“Yes, it is!”
Sharra pointed toward Bethany.
“Every time I think we're finally moving forward, she appears again!”
Bethany shook her head.
“I didn't come here to fight with you.”
“Then why are you here?”
“Because Larry invited me!”
Sharra looked at Larry.
“You invited her?”
“Yes.”
That answer made Sharra even angrier.
“So you planned this!”
Larry's patience was beginning to disappear.
“Sharra, stop. You're making a scene.”
“A scene?” Sharra shouted. “You're the one humiliating me!”
Bethany grabbed Larry's arm.
“Larry, let's just go.”
Larry nodded.
“Come on.”
They turned toward the exit.
But before they could leave, Sharra said something that made Larry stop.
“You should ask Bethany what she's been hiding from you.”
Larry slowly turned around.
“What does that mean?”
Sharra smiled.
“I think you know exactly what I mean.”
Bethany's face suddenly became nervous.
Larry noticed.
“Bethany?”
She didn't answer.
“What is Sharra talking about?”
Bethany looked at Sharra.
“Don't do this.”
Sharra crossed her arms.
“Why? Afraid he's going to find out?”
Larry became more serious.
“Find out what?”
Bethany whispered, “Larry, please. Not here.”
Sharra pulled out her phone.
“I have proof.”
Everyone nearby became silent.
Larry stared at the phone.
“What proof?”
Sharra looked directly at Bethany.
“The truth about what happened before you came to this mall.”
Bethany's eyes widened.
“Sharra, put that phone away.”
“No.”
Larry stepped toward Sharra.
“Show me.”
Bethany quickly grabbed Larry's arm.
“Don't!”
Larry looked at her in shock.
“Why are you stopping me?”
Bethany's eyes filled with tears.
“Because I don't want you to see it here.”
Larry looked between Bethany and Sharra.
Something was clearly wrong.
Sharra finally lowered her phone.
“Fine. If you don't want to see it here, I'll send it to you.”
Larry's phone suddenly buzzed.
He looked down.
A message from Sharra had arrived.
Larry opened it.
His expression changed immediately.
Bethany watched his face.
“Larry…”
He slowly looked up at her.
“What is this?”
Bethany couldn't speak.
Sharra smiled.
“Now you know.”
Larry looked at the screen again.
The entire mood had changed.
The shopping bags were forgotten.
The dress Bethany had wanted was still sitting in the store.
Larry took a step away from Bethany.
“Why didn't you tell me?”
Bethany started crying.
“I was going to.”
“When?”
“I just needed more time.”
Larry shook his head.
“You had plenty of time.”
Sharra stepped closer.
“And that's not even everything.”
Larry looked at her.
“What else?”
Sharra replied:
“If I show you the rest, this family will never be the same again.”
Larry stared at her in disbelief.
Bethany covered her face with her hands.
“Please… don't.”
Sharra looked at Larry.
“Do you really want to know the whole truth?”
Larry didn't answer.
He simply stared at Bethany.
And for the first time that afternoon, Bethany realized that the shopping trip wasn't going to end with bags and happy memories.
It was about to uncover a secret that could destroy everything.
Sharra held up her phone one more time.
“I'll give you one choice, Larry.”
Larry looked at her.
“What choice?”
“Come with me and see the rest of the evidence… or stay with Bethany and never know what she has been hiding.”
Larry stood frozen between the two women.
Then his phone buzzed again.
A second message appeared.
Larry opened it.
His eyes widened.
“What…?”
Bethany immediately realized what he had seen.
And before Larry could say another word, she whispered:
“Larry… please forgive me.”
The entire mall went silent around them.
Because whatever was on that phone had just changed everything.
