Brooke & Destiny Secretly Decorate the Room to Surprise Larry and Cheer Up Bethany!
Bethany had been unusually quiet for days. Ever since the tension between her and Larry grew worse, she barely smiled and spent most of her time alone. Brooke and Destiny couldn't stand seeing her so heartbroken.
"We have to do something," Brooke whispered.
Destiny nodded. "Bethany has always been there for us. Now it's our turn to be there for her."
The two secretly came up with a plan.
While Bethany was away visiting a friend, Brooke and Destiny rushed to the house. They bought balloons, flowers, fairy lights, scented candles, and a large banner that read:
"Family Is Stronger Together."
They spent hours decorating the bedroom. Rose petals covered the bed, soft lights glowed around the room, and fresh flowers filled every corner.
Destiny stepped back and smiled.
"I think this is perfect."
Brooke looked around proudly.
"Now all we need is Larry."
Without telling Bethany, Brooke called Larry.
"Larry," she said softly, "please come home tonight. We have something important to show you."
Larry hesitated.
"I don't know if Bethany even wants to see me."
"Just trust us," Brooke replied.
A few hours later, Bethany returned home.
The moment she opened the bedroom door, she froze.
The room looked completely different.
Warm lights filled the space, beautiful flowers decorated the bed, and family photos had been arranged on the walls.
Bethany placed her hand over her mouth.
"You... you did all this?"
Brooke smiled.
"Because you deserve to smile again."
Before Bethany could answer, the front door slowly opened.
Larry had arrived.
He walked toward the bedroom, unsure of what he was about to see.
As he stepped inside, his eyes widened.
The beautifully decorated room took him completely by surprise.
Then he saw Bethany standing quietly beside the bed.
For a few seconds, nobody spoke.
Brooke gently broke the silence.
"We didn't decorate this room for a party."
Destiny continued,
"We decorated it because we're tired of seeing our family falling apart."
Larry looked at Bethany with regret in his eyes.
"I never wanted things to get this bad."
Bethany slowly looked up.
"Neither did I."
The room became silent again.
Brooke walked over to Larry and handed him a small gift box.
"Open it."
Larry slowly lifted the lid.
Inside was a framed family photo taken during happier times.
Behind it was a handwritten note.
'Families argue. Families make mistakes. But love is worth fighting for.'
Larry's eyes filled with tears.
He looked at Bethany.
"I've made mistakes... and I know I can't erase them. But seeing this reminds me of everything we've built together."
Bethany wiped away a tear.
"I've been hurt... but I've also been hoping we'd remember who we used to be."
Destiny smiled as she watched them finally speak calmly after so many arguments.
Brooke whispered,
"Maybe this is the fresh start we've all been praying for."
Larry slowly stepped closer.
"I'm sorry for the pain I've caused."
Bethany didn't answer immediately.
Instead, she reached out and gently held his hand.
Everyone in the room smiled.
For the first time in what felt like forever, there was hope.
As the candles flickered and the fairy lights sparkled across the room, Brooke and Destiny looked at each other with relief.
Their surprise hadn't solved every problem overnight—but it had done something even more important.
It reminded Larry and Bethany that before the anger, before the arguments, and before the talk of divorce... they were a family worth fighting for.
And perhaps, just perhaps, this unexpected surprise was the first step toward healing the broken pieces of their hearts.
