Bethany Catches Larry Revealing Their Divorce Plans to Lynette Behind Her Back!
Late one evening, Bethany walked into the house expecting nothing more than a quiet night. Larry had been acting distant for weeks, often stepping outside to answer mysterious phone calls. Every time Bethany asked who he was talking to, he would simply smile and say, "Just a friend."
That answer never felt right.
As Larry's phone rang again, he quickly grabbed it and walked onto the back porch, making sure the door was almost completely closed. But he didn't realize the window beside the porch had been left slightly open.
Curious, Bethany quietly walked toward the window.
The moment she got close, she heard a familiar voice.
"Lynette... everything is almost finalized," Larry said softly. "The divorce papers are nearly ready. Bethany doesn't know yet, and I want to keep it that way until everything is signed."
Bethany froze.
Her heart began pounding as she struggled to believe what she had just heard.
On the other end of the call, Lynette replied, "Are you sure she'll never find out before then?"
Larry sighed.
"I've hidden everything. She has no idea."
Bethany covered her mouth to keep herself from crying out loud. Tears filled her eyes as she realized Larry had been secretly discussing the end of their marriage with Lynette instead of talking to her.
Unable to listen any longer, Bethany rushed back inside before Larry could see her.
She sat silently in the living room, trying to process everything she had heard.
A few minutes later, Larry walked in pretending nothing had happened.
"Everything okay?" he asked casually.
Bethany looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"Who were you talking to?"
Larry hesitated.
"No one important."
Bethany slowly stood.
"Don't lie to me."
Larry's expression changed immediately.
"I heard every word of your conversation with Lynette."
Silence filled the room.
Larry realized there was no way to deny it anymore.
Bethany's voice trembled.
"So this is how I find out? You tell Lynette about our divorce before telling your own wife?"
Larry tried to explain.
"I didn't want you to hear it like this."
Bethany shook her head.
"No... you just didn't want me to hear it at all."
The argument quickly became emotional.
Larry admitted he had been planning the divorce for weeks and had been asking Lynette for advice on how to handle everything without causing drama.
Those words hurt Bethany even more.
"So everyone knew except me?" she asked.
Larry looked down without answering.
That silence told Bethany everything she needed to know.
Feeling completely betrayed, Bethany grabbed her keys and walked toward the front door.
Larry called after her.
"Please... let's talk."
Bethany stopped for just a second before replying,
"You already chose the person you wanted to talk to."
She walked out, leaving Larry standing alone in the house.
Meanwhile, Lynette received another call from Larry.
"It's over," he said quietly.
But before Lynette could respond, someone unexpectedly knocked on her front door.
When she opened it, she was stunned.
Bethany was standing there.
Neither of them said a word for several seconds.
Bethany finally broke the silence.
"I just want one answer."
"How long have you known about my marriage falling apart?"
Lynette looked nervous, realizing this confrontation could change everything.
