The airport was buzzing with travelers rushing to catch flights, families reuniting, and business professionals hurrying through security. Larry and Bethany had just arrived after a long flight, excited to begin a fresh chapter together. Bethany pulled out her phone to check a message while Larry reached for their luggage.
Neither of them noticed a hooded man watching from across the terminal.
The stranger slowly blended into the crowd, pretending to be another passenger. His eyes never left Bethany's expensive smartphone.
Just as Bethany smiled at a message on her screen...
WHOOSH!
The man lunged forward, ripped the phone from her hand, and sprinted toward the terminal exit.
"My phone!" Bethany screamed.
Everyone froze.
The thief pushed past travelers, knocking over suitcases and nearly sending a child to the floor.
Without thinking for a second, Larry threw down his backpack.
"Stay here!" he shouted before taking off after the robber.
People quickly moved aside as Larry raced through the crowded airport.
The chase had begun.
The robber darted through a coffee shop, weaving between tables and startled customers.
Larry stayed right behind him.
"Stop! Somebody stop him!" Larry yelled.
Several travelers pointed toward the fleeing man, but no one dared step into his path.
The thief reached an escalator, jumping over several steps at a time.
Larry followed without slowing down.
Meanwhile...
Airport security cameras had already captured the entire robbery.
An officer monitoring the cameras immediately radioed nearby units.
"Attention all officers! Male suspect wearing a black hoodie running toward Terminal C. Phone theft in progress."
Within seconds, airport police rushed into action.
The thief believed he was about to escape.
He burst through another hallway toward the parking garage.
But as he rounded the corner...
Two airport police officers appeared directly ahead.
For a split second, the robber hesitated.
Then he changed direction.
Unfortunately for him...
Larry was already closing the distance from behind.
The robber shoved a luggage cart into Larry's path.
The heavy cart crashed into several suitcases, slowing Larry for only a moment.
Ignoring the pain after bumping into the cart, Larry got back up and continued running.

Outside the terminal, more airport police vehicles arrived.
Officers spread out to block every possible exit.
The thief looked left.

He looked right.
More police.
His breathing became heavier.
Still refusing to surrender, he climbed over a parking barrier and dashed toward a taxi lane.
At that exact moment...
Larry caught up.
He grabbed the back of the robber's hoodie.
The two stumbled to the ground.
The stolen phone slid several feet across the pavement.
The robber tried to break free, but Larry held on until officers reached them.
"Police! Don't move!"
Within seconds, the officers restrained the suspect and placed him in handcuffs.
The crowd watching nearby erupted into applause.
Bethany finally caught up, still shaken but relieved.
An officer picked up the phone and checked it for damage.
"Is this yours?" he asked.
Bethany smiled with relief.
"Yes! Thank you so much."
She hugged Larry tightly.
"I thought I'd never see it again."
Larry laughed, catching his breath.
"I wasn't going to let him get away."
Several travelers who had witnessed the chase congratulated Larry for his quick actions.
One little boy even asked if Larry was a police officer.
Larry smiled.
"No... just someone who couldn't stand by while someone was being robbed."
