The morning felt different at Larry and Sharra's house.

Suitcases were lined up near the front door. Destiny was finally heading to Chicago for her graduation ceremony, a moment she had worked so hard for. Everyone was proud of her, but there was also sadness in the air because she would be away from home for several days.

Brooke stood quietly on the porch, watching Destiny load her bags into the car.

For once, there were no jokes.

No arguments.

No drama.

Just emotions.

Destiny walked over to Brooke with a smile.

"You've been awfully quiet today."

Brooke looked down and tried to hide her tears.

"I'm just gonna miss you."

Destiny laughed softly.

"It's only Chicago, Brooke. I'm not moving to another planet."
