Just minutes earlier, Hope had called him crying.

“Larry… you need to get to the hospital now,” she said through tears. “Bethany’s condition just got worse.”

The words hit Larry like a nightmare.

Without thinking twice, he rushed out of the house and drove straight toward the hospital at full speed. His heart pounded harder with every second.

“Please be okay…” he whispered repeatedly.

The moment Larry arrived at the hospital, he jumped out of the car and ran through the emergency entrance. Nurses and doctors rushed through the hallways while worried family members crowded the waiting room.
