The house was unusually quiet that afternoon.

Bethany sat alone in the bedroom staring at Larry’s black travel bag lying near the closet. Her heart raced every time she looked at it.

For days, Larry had been acting distant.

Hiding his phone.

Leaving the room to answer calls.

Coming home late with random excuses that stopped making sense.

And ever since the situation with Sharra, Bethany’s trust had completely fallen apart.

She didn’t WANT to snoop…

…but something deep inside her told her Larry was hiding something serious.

Bethany slowly walked toward the bag.

Her hands trembled as she unzipped it carefully.

At first, everything looked normal.

Larry stayed silent.

And that silence hurt Bethany more than anything.

Larry lowered his head.

“It was supposed to be a business gift…”

The room became tense.

Larry tried grabbing her hand, but she pulled away immediately.

For the first time, he realized Bethany was truly done.

She slowly opened it.

Her eyes widened in complete shock.

It was a plane ticket.

For TWO people.

Destination:

 Las Vegas.

And the passenger names read:

Larry & Sharra.

Bethany looked up at Larry with heartbreak and anger mixed together.

“You were really gonna leave with her…”

Larry opened his mouth to speak—
