Larry paced back and forth near the reception desk, checking the clock every few seconds. His face looked tense, frustrated… and scared.

Sharra sat beside Brooke, trying to stay calm, but the worry in her eyes said everything.

“Brooke,” Sharra whispered softly, “whatever happens today… just tell the truth.”

Brooke swallowed hard but stayed silent.

That silence made Larry even more nervous.

Earlier that morning, Sharra had discovered something shocking hidden inside Brooke’s bathroom cabinet — a pregnancy test box wrapped in a towel. At first, she hoped it was old or belonged to someone else. But when Brooke panicked and tried to snatch it away, Larry immediately knew something was wrong.

Now the three of them sat in the doctor’s office waiting for answers that could change everything.

After what felt like forever, the nurse finally opened the door.

“Brooke?” she called.

Brooke slowly stood up.

Larry looked at her seriously.
