The house was unusually quiet that evening.
Brooke had been sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone while Isaiah paced back and forth near the kitchen, acting nervous ever since their dramatic prom night. Ever since the rumors started spreading online, everyone in the family had been watching them closely.

Larry had already warned Isaiah earlier that day.

“One more secret comes out… and you’re going to answer for it.”

Isaiah tried to act calm, but deep inside, he knew things were falling apart.

Suddenly, Brooke grabbed her stomach tightly.

“Ahh…!” she cried out in pain.

Her phone dropped to the floor.

Isaiah instantly rushed over. “Brooke?! What’s wrong?!”

Brooke’s face turned pale. Sweat formed on her forehead as the pain became worse.

“My stomach… it hurts so bad…” she whispered, barely able to breathe.

Within seconds, panic filled the room.

Bethany came running downstairs. “What happened?!”

“She just started screaming!” Isaiah yelled nervously.

Doctors rushed Brooke into the emergency room while the family waited outside in complete silence.

Isaiah sat frozen in his chair, shaking his leg nonstop.

Bethany crossed her arms and stared directly at him.

“Isaiah…” she said coldly.
“Is there something you need to tell us?”

Isaiah looked away immediately.

“I-I don’t know what you mean…”

Larry slammed his hand against the wall.

“STOP LYING!” he exploded. “Ever since prom night, Brooke has been acting different!”

The hallway became tense.

Even Sharra, who had just arrived at the hospital, looked worried.

“What if this is serious?” she whispered.

A few moments later, the doctor finally walked out of the room.

Everyone stood up instantly.

“How is she?!” Bethany asked anxiously.

The doctor looked at Brooke’s chart… then at Isaiah.
