Larry took Jade to the hotel room and crossed the line with her..........
The tension between Larry and Jade had been building for weeks.
After everything that happened with Bethany, Larry felt completely lost. The divorce drama, the endless arguments, the pressure from friends and family—it all pushed him to the edge emotionally. Jade was the only person who seemed to understand him lately. She listened when he talked, checked on him constantly, and stayed by his side during his darkest moments.
But deep down, Larry knew getting closer to Jade would change everything.
That night, the city lights glowed outside as Larry pulled his car into the parking lot of a luxury hotel downtown. Jade looked over at him nervously.
“Are you sure about this?” she asked softly.
Larry sat quietly for a moment, gripping the steering wheel tightly. His emotions were all over the place. Part of him still felt guilty about Bethany… but another part of him was tired of feeling lonely and broken.
“I just don’t want to be alone tonight,” he admitted.
Jade’s expression softened.
Without another word, the two walked through the hotel lobby together. Larry kept his head down, hoping nobody would recognize them. But the tension between them was impossible to ignore.
Inside the elevator, silence filled the air.
Jade finally broke it.
“Larry… if this is about revenge against Bethany, don’t do it.”
Larry looked at her immediately.
“It’s not revenge,” he said quietly. “I’m just tired of pretending my marriage wasn’t already over.”
The elevator doors opened.
Room 814.
Larry unlocked the hotel room slowly while Jade stood behind him, clearly nervous. The moment they stepped inside, reality hit both of them hard.
This was the line they could never uncross.
The room was dimly lit, with rain tapping softly against the windows. Larry poured himself a drink while Jade stood near the balcony, staring at the city below.
“You still love her, don’t you?” Jade suddenly asked.
Larry froze.
For several seconds, he couldn’t answer.
Finally, he whispered, “A part of me probably always will.”
Jade looked down sadly, understanding the pain behind his words.
“But she stopped loving me a long time ago,” Larry added bitterly.
The emotional distance between Larry and Bethany had been growing for months. Tonight, Larry felt like he was finally letting go of the last piece of that marriage.
Jade slowly walked toward him.
“You don’t have to carry all this pain by yourself,” she said gently.
Larry looked into her eyes, exhausted emotionally. In that vulnerable moment, emotions completely took over. He pulled Jade into a long embrace as both of them stood silently in the middle of the room.
Outside, thunder echoed across the city skyline.
Hours later, rumors had already started spreading online after someone claimed they spotted Larry entering the hotel with another woman. Social media exploded instantly.
“Did Larry move on already?”
“Was Jade the reason for the divorce?”
“Bethany deserves to know!”
Meanwhile, across town, Bethany sat alone scrolling through her phone when she suddenly saw the photos.
Her heart dropped instantly.
“No…” she whispered in disbelief.
The image of Larry and Jade entering the hotel together felt like a knife straight through her chest. Even though their marriage was falling apart, seeing Larry with someone else made the pain suddenly feel real.
Bethany immediately tried calling Larry.
One call.
Two calls.
Three calls.
No answer.
Back at the hotel room, Larry stared at his buzzing phone on the nightstand. Bethany’s name kept flashing across the screen.
Jade noticed his expression immediately.
“She knows, doesn’t she?” Jade asked quietly.
Larry closed his eyes.
At that moment, he realized the decision he made tonight wouldn’t just change his life…
It would destroy whatever was left of his marriage forever.
