The tension inside the house had been building for weeks. 
Every conversation between Larry and Bethany turned into an argument. What used to be love was now constant disrespect, cold silence, and painful accusations. Even friends and family started noticing something was seriously wrong. 

That night, Larry came home exhausted after a long day, hoping for peace… but instead, he walked straight into another disaster. 

Bethany was sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone while the kitchen was a mess and bills were scattered across the table.

Larry sighed softly. “Bethany, can we please talk calmly tonight?”

Bethany rolled her eyes immediately. “About what now, Larry? I’m tired of your complaining.”

Larry tried to stay calm. “This marriage is falling apart. We can’t keep treating each other like enemies.”

But Bethany laughed sarcastically. 
“Oh please. Maybe if you acted like a real husband, things would be different.”

That comment hit Larry hard.

For weeks he had tried fixing things… planning dinners, apologizing after arguments, even giving Bethany space when she demanded it. But nothing was enough anymore. 

“Why are you acting like this?” Larry asked quietly.

Bethany stood up angrily. “Because I’m DONE pretending! You always want sympathy while ignoring what I want!”

The shouting grew louder and louder. 

Upstairs, Brooke and Destiny could hear every word. Brooke looked nervous. “This is getting bad…”

Back downstairs, Bethany crossed her arms and delivered the sentence that changed everything forever.

“Maybe I should’ve never married you in the first place.” 

Larry froze.

The room went completely silent.

“You don’t mean that…” he whispered.

But Bethany wasn’t done.

“I’m serious, Larry. I’m tired of this life. Tired of YOU.”

Larry walked to the table, pulled off his wedding ring slowly, and stared at it for a long moment. Tears filled his eyes.

“You know what, Bethany?” he said with a broken voice. “I’m done.”

Bethany’s smirk faded instantly.

Larry placed the ring on the table.

“This marriage is OVER.” 

Brooke gasped upstairs. Destiny covered her mouth in shock.

Bethany blinked repeatedly like she couldn’t believe what she just heard. “Wait… Larry…”

But Larry wasn’t finished.

“I begged you to fight for us. I begged you to respect this family. But all you do is tear everybody down.”

Bethany suddenly looked nervous. “You’re being dramatic.”

“No,” Larry replied coldly. “I finally opened my eyes.”

He grabbed his car keys and suitcase from the hallway closet. 

Bethany’s attitude changed instantly. “Larry… where are you going?”

Larry stopped at the front door without turning around.

“To find peace.”

Then he walked out. 

Bethany ran after him, but it was too late. Larry got into his car and drove away while she stood outside crying in disbelief.

Minutes later, Brooke came downstairs slowly.

“Mom… what did you do?” 

Bethany collapsed onto the couch in tears. For the first time, she realized Larry was serious. This wasn’t another argument.

The marriage was really over.

Larry posted a single message online:
