For the past two days, Bethany had been feeling weak, dizzy, and exhausted. At first, everyone thought it was just stress from all the recent drama between her and Larry. But after she suddenly collapsed at home, doctors ordered several medical tests immediately.

Now the results were finally ready.

Larry rubbed his hands together anxiously while Bethany stared at the floor, looking terrified of what they were about to hear.

“You think everything’s gonna be okay?” Larry asked softly.

Bethany forced a small smile. “I hope so.”

Before Larry could say another word, the hospital room door slowly opened.
