The hospital room felt colder than ever before.

Outside, heavy rain crashed against the windows while the sound of thunder echoed through the building. Inside Room 407, machines beeped softly around Bethany’s bed as family and friends stood silently, trying to hold back tears.

Bethany looked weak.

Her face had lost its usual glow, and the oxygen tube resting beneath her nose made the situation feel painfully real. But despite how exhausted she looked, she kept forcing herself to smile at the people standing around her.

Larry stood closest to the bed, unable to take his eyes off her for even a second.

The doctor had already warned everyone earlier that Bethany’s condition was becoming more serious. Nobody wanted to believe it… but deep down, fear had already entered the room.

Then suddenly, Bethany slowly reached for Larry’s hand.

“Can everyone come closer?” she whispered softly.

The room immediately became emotional.

“Please…” she whispered weakly. “Just listen.”

Larry grabbed her hand tightly and fell to his knees beside the bed.

The entire room burst into tears.
