Jaden.

His heart skipped a beat.

“Jaden? What’s wrong?” Larry answered immediately, his voice tense.

On the other end, all he could hear at first was heavy breathing… and then—

Larry sat straight up in bed.

The line went silent.

“Jaden?! JADEN!” Larry shouted, but the call had already ended.

Larry didn’t waste a second.

Within minutes, he was out of bed, throwing on clothes, his mind racing with questions. Watching them? Who? Why? And why would Lynette suddenly leave like this?

Something was seriously wrong.

He grabbed his keys and rushed out into the cold night, dialing Jaden again—no answer.
