The tension had been building all day… but no one expected it to explode like this.

It started in the living room — quiet, almost too quiet. Sharra stood near the window, arms crossed, her face tight with frustration. Larry paced back and forth, his jaw clenched, clearly trying to hold something in. Bethany watched from the corner, her heart already racing. She could feel it… something bad was about to happen.

“Say it again,” Larry snapped suddenly, his voice low but shaking.

Sharra didn’t back down. “You heard me. I’m done pretending everything is fine, Larry.”

That was it.

Larry stopped pacing. Slowly, he turned toward her — his eyes filled with anger Bethany had never seen before. “You think you can just walk in here and disrespect me?” he shouted, his voice echoing through the house.

“Disrespect?” Sharra fired back. “You’ve been lying to everyone!”

The air turned electric.

“STOP!” Bethany stepped forward, her voice trembling. “Both of you—just stop!”

“Move, Bethany,” he said through gritted teeth.
