Brooke, sitting quietly on the couch, looked up. “Who is it?”

Another knock came—louder this time.

Larry stepped forward.

“Enough,” he said, his tone cutting through everything. “This ends today.”

Sharra looked at him, anger flashing in her eyes. “Oh really? And who do you think you are coming here making demands?”

Larry didn’t raise his voice.

He didn’t need to.

“I’m the one trying to stop this from getting worse,” he said coldly. “Because if it does… you’re not going to like what happens next.”

A chill ran through the room.

Sharra hesitated—but only for a second.

“Are you threatening me?” she asked.

Larry stepped closer, his eyes locked onto hers.

“No,” he said quietly. “I’m warning you.”

Those words landed hard.

Even Bethany looked at Larry, surprised by how serious he sounded.

From behind them, Brooke’s voice trembled.

“Please… stop…”

All three turned.

Tears filled her eyes as she looked between them—torn, scared, exhausted.

But Brooke stepped forward anyway.

And hugged her.

Bethany broke down instantly, holding her daughter like she might never let go again.

“I’m so sorry… I’m so, so sorry…” she whispered through tears.

Sharra stood there, frozen.

Larry looked at her one last time.

“This was never your fight to control,” he said. “You crossed the line, Sharra. Don’t do it again.”
