Larry Refuses to take Bethany with him. When He was Preparing to go to Montana.😱

The suitcase lay open on the bed, neatly packed with winter clothes, boots, and documents. Larry moved around the room with purpose, checking his phone and glancing at the clock. Outside, the cold morning light filtered through the window. Montana was waiting.

Bethany stood frozen near the doorway.

“Montana?” she asked again, her voice trembling. “You never told me you were leaving… today.”

Larry didn’t look up. “I didn’t think I had to.”

That single sentence cut deeper than any argument they’d ever had.

Bethany stepped closer. “You said this trip was business. You said we’d go together when things settled down.”

Larry finally turned around. His face was hard—too hard. “Plans change.”

She swallowed. “Then pack my bag too.”

The room went silent.

Larry zipped his suitcase shut and shook his head. “You’re not coming, Bethany.”

Her breath caught. “What?”

“I need space,” he said bluntly. “Montana is something I have to do alone.”

Bethany laughed nervously. “Alone? After everything we’ve been through? After the court notices, the secrets, the fights? You think you can just leave me behind like I don’t matter?”

Larry grabbed his jacket. “This isn’t a vacation. It’s serious. I don’t have time for drama.”

“Drama?” she snapped. “You mean me.”

That was the moment Bethany realized—this wasn’t about Montana. It was about escape.

Tears filled her eyes. “Are you running from me?”

Larry hesitated. Just for a second. But it was enough.

“I’m running toward peace,” he said quietly.

Bethany’s voice broke. “And I don’t count as peace?”

He looked away.

That silence answered everything.

She walked to the bed and placed her hand on his suitcase. “If you leave without me,” she said, her voice shaking, “don’t bother coming back pretending things are fine.”

Larry exhaled slowly. “Bethany, please don’t do this.”

“Don’t do what?” she cried. “Ask my husband why he doesn’t want me by his side?”

Larry’s phone buzzed. A ride notification.

He picked up the suitcase.

Bethany grabbed his arm. “Larry… please. Just tell me the truth. Is there someone else in Montana?”

His jaw tightened. “That’s not your business right now.”

Her heart shattered.

“So that’s it,” she whispered. “You’re choosing Montana over me.”

Larry walked to the door. “I’m choosing myself.”

The door opened.

Bethany sank onto the bed as he stepped out, the sound of his footsteps fading down the hall. A moment later, the front door slammed shut.

She sat there in silence—until her phone buzzed.

A message from an unknown number:

“He’s already here. You’re too late.”

Bethany’s hands shook.

Montana wasn’t just a trip.

It was the beginning of a betrayal that would destroy everything… 😱💔
