Destiny, fed up with Bethany, is leaving the house, but Larry will stop her.
Destiny Has Had Enough… But Larry Won’t Let Her Walk Away!
Destiny’s suitcase wheels scraped loudly across the floor as she dragged them toward the front door. Her eyes were red from crying and anger mixed together like a storm ready to explode.
Behind her, voices echoed through the hallway…
Bethany: “Destiny, stop being dramatic!”
Destiny: “Dramatic?! I’m DONE being everyone’s punching bag!”
Bethany crossed her arms, irritated instead of worried.
Destiny stared at her with pure exhaustion in her voice:
“You don’t listen. You don’t care. You treat me like I’m just in your way.”
Bethany rolled her eyes — a mistake she would regret.
Destiny turned toward the door…
She was leaving.
The Moment Destiny Reaches the Door…
Just as she unlocked it —
a strong hand stopped the door from opening.
Destiny turned back and saw Larry standing there — breathing hard, shock on his face.
Larry: “Where do you think you’re going?”
Destiny: “Anywhere but here!”
He stepped between her and the exit, blocking her path.
Larry: “No. You’re not leaving this house! Not like this.”
Destiny shoved her suitcase, knocking it over.
“I’m tired, Larry! Tired of pretending this is a home when I’m constantly disrespected!”
Larry looked over at Bethany — furious.
Larry Snaps at Bethany!
Larry marched toward Bethany, eyes blazing.
Larry: “You keep pushing her! Why?? She’s been trying from day one!”
Bethany flinched — shocked he was defending Destiny so strongly.
Bethany: “So now I’m the villain for speaking the truth?”
Larry: “No — you’re the villain for breaking family instead of building it!”
Destiny froze, heart pounding.
Bethany didn’t reply…
for the first time, she actually looked guilty.
The Truth Destiny Never Said…
Destiny’s voice cracked as she spoke softly:
“I didn’t want to replace anyone… I just wanted to belong here.”
She wiped her tears, looking straight at Larry:
“But you can’t force someone to stay where they are not loved.”
Larry’s face fell.
He walked to her slowly… and gently placed his hands on her shoulders.
Larry:
“You are loved. By me. And that’s enough for now.”
Tears rolled down Destiny’s cheeks uncontrollably.
Larry Makes a Final Decision
Larry turned toward Bethany once more:
“If Destiny leaves… I leave too.”
Bethany gasped — shaking her head in disbelief.
Bethany:
“Larry… you can’t be serious.”
He was.
Bethany’s anger collapsed into panic. She finally softened:
“Destiny… I’m sorry. Please… don’t go.”
Destiny stared at her for a long moment…
A New Beginning… or Just a Pause?
Larry helped Destiny lift her suitcase back up and hugged her tightly.
Larry: “You don’t run away from family. You help fix it.”
Destiny nodded slowly…
But deep inside, she wondered:
Was this truly the start of change?
Or just a temporary truce before the next storm?
One thing was certain:
Larry wasn’t going to let Destiny walk away —
Not today. Not ever.
