Mike confronts Sunny with the DNA test and left everyone spechless 😱

The air inside the courthouse lobby was heavy, filled with whispers and stares. The custody battle over Kai had already divided friends and family, and every new twist seemed to drag more people into its web. But no one expected Mike to show up that day.

Mike had always been the quiet one in the circle, loyal but reserved, watching from the sidelines while Anthony, Arby, Amber, and Shayla fought their wars. He rarely spoke his mind—but when he did, everyone listened. And on this day, he walked in with an envelope in his hand and fire in his eyes.

In the center of the lobby stood Sunny, Kai’s mother’s closest friend and the one person who seemed to know everything yet always said nothing. Sunny had been keeping secrets for years, playing both sides, comforting Anthony one moment and whispering to Arby the next.

When Mike stopped in front of her, the entire room fell silent.

“Sunny,” Mike said, his voice sharp. “We’re done with your games.”

Sunny tilted her head, her lips curving into a smirk. “What are you talking about, Mike? You’ve barely said two words in this entire mess. Why now?”

Mike raised the envelope, his hand trembling with the weight of what he carried. “Because I’ve seen the truth. And it’s time everyone else does too.”

He ripped it open, pulling out the folded document inside. His voice echoed as he read aloud:

“DNA Test Result: Probability of Maternity—0.0%.”

The words hung in the air like thunder. Gasps rippled through the crowd.

Anthony’s eyes widened. “Wait—what?!”

Sunny’s confident smirk faltered, her eyes darting nervously. “That… that test is wrong. It has to be. You don’t know what you’re reading.”

Mike’s glare sharpened. “Don’t lie, Sunny. We had it tested twice. You’re not who you say you are. You’ve been pretending to be Kai’s mother’s confidant, pretending to care about him—but you’re not even his biological aunt. You have no blood ties to him at all.”

The lobby erupted with whispers. Cocoa covered her mouth in shock. Amber’s face went pale. Even Arby, who usually carried himself with smug arrogance, looked rattled.

Anthony stepped forward, his voice trembling. “Sunny… if you’re not who you said you were, then who are you really? And why the hell have you been hovering around Kai all this time?”

Sunny’s breathing quickened, her facade cracking under the weight of exposure. “You don’t understand,” she said, her voice breaking. “I did what I had to do. I wasn’t lying to hurt him—I was lying to protect him.”

Mike’s voice thundered. “Protect him from what? From the truth? From us? Or from yourself?”

Sunny’s eyes glistened with tears. “From the people who want him! From the ones who made him what he is. I wasn’t supposed to get attached, but I did. I love that boy, Anthony. I couldn’t let them take him, so I made myself part of his life. I became someone you trusted.”

The crowd was speechless. Anthony staggered back, trying to process everything. Kai wasn’t even Sunny’s blood relative, and yet she had entangled herself in his life, pretending to be family.

Arby finally found his voice, venom lacing his tone. “So you’re nothing. Just another liar in this mess.”

But Sunny snapped her head toward him, fury blazing in her eyes. “Don’t you dare. You’re no better. You want Kai for power, not love. At least I protected him.”

Mike folded the test and shoved it back into the envelope. His voice cut through the chaos. “No more lies. No more half-truths. Sunny, if you care about Kai at all, you’ll finally tell us everything—who these people are, why they want him, and why you’ve been hiding behind this mask for years.”

The room held its breath. Sunny’s shoulders trembled as tears finally spilled down her cheeks. She opened her mouth to speak, but before a single word left her lips—Kai himself appeared at the end of the hallway, clutching Anthony’s hand.

“Dad?” Kai asked softly, his eyes wide. “What’s going on? Why is everyone yelling?”

Everyone froze. The deadly secret that Sunny was about to reveal hung heavy in the air, waiting to explode. And what happened next… would leave them all shattered.
