To her, this party was not just a celebration—it was a chance to prove to everyone that her family was intact, that Anthony was still part of Kai’s life.
But Shayla didn’t know that Anthony had been working on something behind her back… something far more dangerous than she could imagine.
Chapter 2: Anthony’s Secret Court Motion
Two days before the party, Anthony’s lawyer handed him a sealed envelope. Inside was the judge’s order: court-approved DNA testing on Kai. Anthony clenched the paper in his hands. He wasn’t sure if he wanted the truth, but he needed it. He couldn’t live another year with whispers, suspicions, and lies.
And he decided that the party would be the moment he confronted Shayla.
Chapter 3: Guests Arrive, Tension Builds
Amber arrived first, her eyes scanning the decorations with a half-smile. Then Angelina appeared, followed by Cocoa and even Wayne, all pretending to be polite. Shayla greeted everyone with exaggerated cheer, hiding her nervousness.
Anthony, however, walked in last—calm, but holding a small folder under his arm. Nobody noticed it yet.
Chapter 4: Kai’s Innocent Joy
Kai, dressed in a tiny crown and blazer, ran around the party without a care in the world. He only wanted to eat cake and play. But even he sensed the tension between Anthony and Shayla. Every time Kai pulled Anthony’s hand, Shayla stiffened, afraid of what was coming.
Chapter 5: The Cake Cutting
As everyone gathered to sing “Happy Birthday,” Anthony’s eyes never left Shayla’s face. She avoided his stare, laughing too loudly, clapping too hard. But the moment Kai blew out the candles, Anthony stepped forward.
He placed the envelope on the table—right beside the cake.
Chapter 6: The Reveal
“Before anyone eats,” Anthony’s voice boomed, “I have something to say.”
The room froze. Anthony opened the envelope and revealed the DNA results authorized by the court. Gasps filled the air. Shayla’s smile shattered instantly. Amber dropped her glass. Cocoa whispered, “Oh my God…”
Anthony’s eyes burned as he read the words out loud.
Chapter 7: Shayla’s Desperation
“No!” Shayla screamed, trying to snatch the papers from his hands. “You can’t do this here—it’s Kai’s day!”
But it was too late. Everyone saw the results. Kai was not Anthony’s biological son.
Shayla fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably, while the guests whispered in disbelief.
Chapter 8: Anthony’s Breaking Point
Anthony’s face was stone cold. “All this time… all the lies… and you made me believe.” His voice cracked for the first time as he looked at Kai. The boy’s wide eyes filled with confusion.
He turned away before tears betrayed him.

Out of nowhere, Amber stood up. “I told you, Shayla. The truth always comes out.” She placed her hand on Anthony’s arm as if to steady him. But in the corner, Angelina smirked, watching everything unravel exactly as she’d planned.
Chapter 10: The Ruined Party
What should have been a day of laughter ended in chaos. Guests left in whispers, the cake untouched, and Kai sobbing in the corner. Shayla was left on the floor, broken and exposed, while Anthony walked out with the DNA papers still in his hands.
The birthday party meant to unite everyone had instead destroyed everything.
Im so glad that she cant lead him around by his nose anymore!!! Even thou they both did wrong but anthony is where he needs to be and i hope anthony and amber move foward and have there own baby
