Anthony froze. For the first time, he realized how badly this looked. His silence made Amber’s rage burn hotter.

Amber’s voice softened suddenly, dangerously.
“Fine, Anthony. If you want Shayla… then stay with her.”
She reached into her bag, pulled out an envelope, and tossed it onto Cocoa’s table. Inside was a plane ticket — one she had booked for a romantic trip with Anthony.
“That was supposed to be ours. But clearly, I was wrong about you.”
Shayla gasped, Cocoa covered her mouth, and Anthony’s chest tightened.
