"Anthony Demands Final DNA Proof on Shayla’s Second Pregnancy"
Chapter One: The Whisper That Started It All
It started with a whisper — not from Amber, not from Cocoa, but from someone Anthony barely knew: Nurse Elaina, who worked in Shayla’s OB-GYN clinic.
Anthony was leaving the courthouse after yet another draining hearing about Kai’s custody when Elaina brushed past him, slipped something into his coat pocket, and whispered:
“You deserve the truth… this time, before it’s too late.”
Later, in his car, Anthony unfolded the paper. It wasn’t much — just a name: Dr. Harlan Myles and a date that went back two weeks before Shayla ever told him she was pregnant.
His heart sank.
Chapter Two: The Weight of a Lie
The Kai DNA scandal had left scars — emotional, legal, and personal. The idea that he could’ve spent years raising a child who wasn't biologically his tore him apart daily.
So now, with Shayla claiming she was pregnant again, the red flags were blaring.
“I can’t do this again,” he told his attorney, Jamal.
“If I’m being played again, I need to know before it’s too late.”
Jamal nodded solemnly. “Then you’re going to need a court order. If she’s not cooperating, it’s the only way.”
Chapter Three: The Confrontation
Anthony didn’t wait long.
He showed up at Shayla’s apartment with a printed petition in hand — the ink barely dry. She opened the door in a satin robe, her belly slightly showing beneath it.
“Anthony?” she blinked. “Are you here to talk about us?”
“No,” he said firmly. “I’m here about the baby.”
Her smile faltered.
“I want a DNA test,” he said. “Now.”
Shayla’s eyes turned cold instantly. “You don’t get to demand that.”
“I do — especially after what happened with Kai.”
“That was different.”
“You lied to me for years. You used my love. I won’t be manipulated again.”
Shayla’s expression cracked for a brief second. Then she slammed the door.
Chapter Four: The Courtroom Strike
Within 72 hours, Anthony’s legal team filed an emergency motion: a prenatal paternity test, supervised by the court. Shayla, cornered, tried to stall.
But the judge? He’d seen her name too many times already.
“You’ve played games with paternity once. I won’t let you do it again,” he ruled.
Shayla had no choice. The date was set.
Amber, hearing the news, stood silently in Anthony’s kitchen as he explained.
“I don’t know if I want it to be mine,” he admitted. “But I need to know if she’s lying again.”
Amber nodded. She understood all too well what betrayal did to a person.
Chapter Five: The Test
The day of the test, Shayla arrived late. Her makeup was perfect, her clothes designer, her attitude cold and defensive.
Anthony barely looked at her.
Inside the clinic, the technician drew her blood. Anthony provided his sample.
The air was thick with silence. Shayla didn’t speak. Anthony didn’t either.
But as she got up to leave, she whispered just loud enough for him to hear:
“Even if it’s yours… you’ll never see this child.”
He didn’t respond. But his clenched jaw said enough.
Chapter Six: The Results
Four days later, Anthony received a sealed envelope at his office. He stared at it for an hour before opening it.
He expected shock. He expected pain. He expected something.
But nothing prepared him for the line:
“Probability of paternity: 0.00%”
His hands trembled.
It wasn’t his.
Again.
Chapter Seven: The Fallout
Shayla didn’t answer his calls.
But the next morning, she posted a cryptic message on social media:
“A woman doesn’t owe anyone her truth. Not when the world only wants to weaponize it.”
The comments exploded. Some defended her. Most didn’t.
And then came a twist Anthony never saw coming:
Brittany messaged him.
“You need to talk to Kelvin,” she wrote.
“He’s been seeing Shayla behind the scenes. I think he’s the father.”
Chapter Eight: Kelvin’s Denial
Anthony confronted Kelvin at his gym. The man didn’t deny knowing Shayla — but he refused the claim of being the father.
“She’s toxic, bro,” Kelvin said. “I cut her off months ago. If she’s saying that baby’s mine, she’s playing both of us.”
Anthony didn’t know what to believe anymore.
But he was done chasing her lies.
Chapter Nine: Shayla’s Breakdown
Three days after the results went public, Shayla checked herself into a private facility.
The media speculated it was to escape scrutiny. Others whispered about a breakdown.
Amber, reading the news, didn’t gloat.
She simply whispered:
“Maybe now… the healing can finally begin.”
Chapter Ten: Anthony’s Resolve
Sitting alone in his apartment, Anthony looked at the two DNA tests — one for Kai, one for the unborn child — and made a silent vow:
“No more lies. No more manipulation. From now on, I live only in the truth.”
But even as he whispered those words…
…a new envelope slid under his door.
And this one?
It had Angelina’s handwriting.
