π "When Betty Found Out..."
A Twisted Turn in Victor, Amber, and Betty's Triangle
It was a quiet Thursday evening in Madrid when Betty’s phone buzzed with a message from a friend — a casual Instagram story that would flip her world upside down.
The caption read: “Amber looking fire in Spain! Looks like Victor’s spoiling her ππΈ” — and right there, in the dim lighting of a rooftop bar, was Victor, arm draped comfortably around Amber, both sipping wine with views of the Spanish skyline behind them.
Betty’s heart dropped.
She hadn’t spoken to Victor in weeks — not since their “we need space” conversation that never really ended things officially. There had been no closure, no truth. Just silence. And now, she knew why.
π°️ The History
Victor and Betty had a complicated past. They weren’t just exes — they were each other's “almost.” The ones who never quite let go, even when they moved on.
Victor had once told her, “If the timing were right, we’d take over the world together.”
Apparently, “timing” now meant cuddling up with Amber in Spain.
And that didn’t sit right with Betty.
Not after the late-night calls, not after the promises, and certainly not after Victor forgot to mention he had moved on… with someone Betty knew all too well.
π± The Call
It was 1:37 AM when Betty hit the green button.
Victor didn’t answer on the first ring.
Or the second.
But by the third, she heard his voice — smooth, calm, and unsuspecting.
“Betty? Everything okay?”
She didn’t waste a second.
“So it’s Amber now?” she snapped. “That’s why you ghosted me?”
There was a pause.
“Listen, I didn’t—this isn’t what it looks like.”
“Oh, really? Because what it looks like is you parading around Europe with a woman you swore you had no interest in. And you didn’t even have the decency to tell me it was over.”
Victor exhaled hard. “It was never official between us, Betty. You know that. We drifted.”
Betty’s voice cracked, not out of sadness — but from restrained rage.
“We didn’t drift, Victor. You just stopped talking when you found someone new.”
𧨠The Real Reason
Betty wasn’t just mad about Victor dating again.
She was mad because she knew Amber. They weren’t friends — but they weren’t strangers either. Their circles overlapped. They’d smiled at the same parties, exchanged compliments on dresses, even sat next to each other at a charity event six months ago.
And now that woman was playing house with the same man who told Betty just last month, “No one makes me feel grounded like you do.”
“You always talked about loyalty, Victor,” Betty said quietly. “But you’re just another guy who wants the spotlight more than something real.”
Victor didn’t deny it. He didn’t say Amber was a mistake. He didn’t say Betty was wrong.
He just stayed quiet.
And that silence was all the confirmation Betty needed.
π The Fallout
After she hung up, Betty sat in the dark for a while, heart pounding but strangely lighter.
She didn’t want revenge. She didn’t need drama. But what she did want… was to never be the fallback again.
The next day, she posted a photo — smiling, sipping coffee, the caption reading:
“No regrets. Just lessons. And some people? Just a reminder of what I don’t want.”
⚡Meanwhile in Spain...
Amber noticed Victor acting distant that morning.
He smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
And when his phone buzzed with an unknown number, and he turned it face-down... she knew.
She didn’t say anything — not yet. But deep down, a part of her was asking:
Who else is in this story? And why do I feel like I’m not the first chapter?
