Anthony is angry on shayla... did you know why?

Anthony’s Breaking Point

Anthony paced back and forth in his living room, jaw clenched, fists tightening and loosening at his sides. His mind was spinning, heart pounding, and all he could see—all he could think about—was Shayla’s betrayal.

He had tried to stay calm.

Tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Tried to believe that maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t as devious as people had warned him.

But now?

Now, the truth was sitting right in front of him.

And it burned like hell.

The Discovery

It started with a phone call.

Anthony had been minding his business, driving across town, when his phone rang.

It was Mike.

He almost didn’t answer. Mike was the last person he wanted to hear from.

But something told him to pick up.

And that’s when he heard the words that flipped his whole world upside down.

"Anthony… you ever wonder why Shayla been acting different lately?"

Anthony frowned. "What you talking about?"

Mike hesitated. Then—

"She been playing you, man. And I got proof."

Anthony’s grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Proof of what?"

Another pause. Then, Mike sighed. "Meet me at Luxe Café. I’ll show you."

Anthony didn’t trust Mike, but something about his tone told him this wasn’t a game.

So, against his better judgment, he pulled up to the café and walked inside.

Mike was already sitting at a table, scrolling through his phone.

When Anthony sat down, Mike slid his phone across the table.

And when Anthony looked at the screen?

His entire body went cold.

The Truth About Shayla

It was Shayla.

Sitting in a car.

With another man.

And not just any man—some dude Anthony didn’t even know.

The way they were talking, the way she was smiling, the way her hand rested on his knee…

Anthony knew that look.

Because once upon a time, he was the one she used to look at like that.

"She been messing with dude for months," Mike said. "Telling him all your business. Running her mouth about you, about Amber… about everything."

Anthony’s stomach twisted.

"She ain't just cheating, bro," Mike continued. "She setting you up."

Anthony’s eyes snapped up. "Setting me up for what?"

Mike exhaled. "She been telling people you the bad guy. That you be lying, that you toxic, that you still tryna get back with Amber while playing her. But meanwhile? She the one moving foul."

Anthony felt rage coil in his chest.

All those nights Shayla accused him of being sneaky?

All those times she flipped arguments on him, making him feel like the one in the wrong?

The whole time—SHE was the one betraying HIM.

Anthony’s vision blurred with anger.

He stood up so fast the chair scraped against the floor.

"Where she at?" he growled.

Mike leaned back, smirking slightly. "Now that," he said, "I can help you with."

The Confrontation

Anthony pulled up to Shayla’s place, heart racing.

By the time she opened the door, he was already heated.

She smiled at first, tilting her head. "Hey, baby—"

But before she could finish, he held up his phone, showing her the pictures.

And just like that—her smile disappeared.

Shayla’s face went pale. "Anthony, I—"

"Don’t," he cut her off, voice dangerously low. "Don’t even start."

Shayla swallowed. "I can explain."

"Explain what, Shayla?" Anthony’s voice was sharp, his eyes burning into hers. "Explain how you been runnin’ around behind my back? How you been out here playing me for a damn fool?"

Shayla’s lips parted, but no words came out.

Because she knew there was no way out of this.

"You made me think Amber was the problem," Anthony went on, shaking his head. "You made me think I was trippin'. That I was the one ruining things. But the whole time? It was YOU."

Shayla reached for his arm, but he stepped back.

"Anthony, please, it’s not what it looks like—"

"SHUT UP!"

His voice boomed through the hallway, making Shayla flinch.

Anthony took a deep breath, rubbing a hand over his face. "I was ready to do right by you," he said, his voice quieter now. "I was really tryna be a better man. But you? You ain't never had good intentions. You was just tryna control me."

Shayla shook her head. "Anthony, I—"

"You done," he cut in coldly. "We done. And don’t ever—EVER—try to spin this on me again."

For the first time since the door opened, Shayla looked scared.

Because she knew.

She had lost him.

For good.

Anthony turned away without another word, his whole body still buzzing with anger.

As he stepped into his car, gripping the steering wheel, one thought consumed him.

It wasn’t just about Shayla anymore.

It was about Amber.

About Kai.

About getting his life back on track—WITHOUT toxic people like Shayla in it.

And this time?

He meant it.
