Wayne telling anthony forgive me and leave amber alone
"Let Her Go"
Anthony sat at the bar, nursing a half-empty glass of whiskey, staring blankly at the ice cubes melting inside. His mind was a mess—a whirlwind of regret, frustration, and something deeper that he didn’t want to name.
Amber was pregnant.
With his child.
And she wanted nothing to do with him.
His chest ached at the thought of her walking out on him, her voice still echoing in his head. “You shut me out first.”
He had screwed up. Royally. And now, he was paying the price.
A chair scraped against the floor beside him, pulling him out of his thoughts.
Wayne.
Anthony’s jaw clenched at the sight of his so-called friend sitting down beside him.
Wayne exhaled heavily, running a hand over his beard. "Man… we need to talk."
Anthony scoffed, swirling the whiskey in his glass. "You really think now’s the time?"
Wayne ignored the hostility in his voice. "Yeah. It is."
Anthony shot him a sideways glare. "What, you here to lecture me? You think I don’t already know I messed up?"
Wayne leaned forward, resting his elbows on the bar. His expression was serious—dead serious. "Anthony, listen to me… let her go."
Anthony’s whole body tensed. His grip tightened around his glass, and for a second, he thought about throwing it. "Excuse me?"
Wayne sighed. "Amber. Let her go. Stop chasing after her, stop trying to fix what you broke. Just… walk away."
Anthony turned fully to face him now, his anger rising. "You got some nerve coming up here telling me that. You don’t know how much I love her."
Wayne nodded slowly. "I do know. And I also know that if you really love her, you’d do what’s best for her."
Anthony clenched his jaw, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. "And you think leaving her alone is what’s best?"
Wayne gave him a look. "Yeah. I do."
Anthony scoffed, looking away. "Man, you don’t know—"
Wayne cut him off. "I do know. Because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to lose something good and keep trying to force it back together, even when the damage is already done. And you know what happens when you do that?"
Anthony didn’t answer.
Wayne leaned in. "You make it worse. You hurt her even more than you already have."
Anthony swallowed hard, his grip loosening around the glass. "Wayne, I can’t just… walk away. She’s having my kid."
Wayne nodded. "Yeah. And you can be there for your child. But that don’t mean you gotta keep dragging Amber through hell just so you can feel better about your mistakes."
Anthony exhaled sharply, rubbing his hands over his face. "Man… I never wanted this. I never wanted to hurt her."
Wayne studied him for a long moment before nodding. "I believe you."
Anthony looked at him, surprised. "You do?"
Wayne shrugged. "Yeah. But that don’t change the fact that you did hurt her. And now? Now it’s about what she needs. And right now, Anthony… she don’t need you."
Anthony flinched at the words, but deep down, he knew they were true.
Wayne sat back, his voice softer now. "Look, man… I get it. You love her. You don’t wanna lose her. But sometimes, the best thing you can do for someone you love… is let them heal."
Anthony let out a bitter laugh. "And what about me? Who’s supposed to help me heal?"
Wayne sighed. "That’s the price of hurting someone you love. You don’t get to ask them to fix you after you broke them."
Silence stretched between them.
Finally, Wayne stood up, tossing a few bills on the bar. He turned to Anthony one last time.
"Forgive yourself. And let her go."
And with that, he walked away.
Anthony sat there, staring at his drink, Wayne’s words replaying in his mind.
Maybe, just maybe…
It was time to stop fighting.
It was time to let Amber go.
To Be Continued…?
Does Anthony listen to Wayne and walk away? Or does he fight for Amber one last time? Let me know! 🔥💔
