ANTHONY know all about mike and Shayla

A Betrayal Uncovered: Anthony Learns the Truth About Mike and Shayla

The night air was thick with humidity as Anthony drove through the quiet streets of his neighborhood, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. He had just finished a long shift at work, exhausted and eager to get home to Shayla—the woman he had loved for the past four years.

But something didn’t feel right.

It had started with small things. Shayla being distant, her phone always turned face-down. Late nights that didn’t add up. Whispers in the background when he called her. He had ignored it at first, telling himself he was being paranoid.

Until tonight.

Until he saw them.

The Unwanted Truth

Anthony wasn’t even supposed to be in that part of town, but a last-minute errand had led him past The Blue Orchid Lounge—a quiet, dimly lit bar on the outskirts of the city.

And there, through the large front window, sat Shayla.

With Mike.

Anthony’s best friend. His brother in everything but blood.

His heart stopped.

At first, he wanted to believe it was innocent. Maybe they had run into each other. Maybe they were discussing something important. But as he watched, his stomach twisted.

Shayla laughed—not just any laugh, but the laugh—the one she used when she was completely comfortable, lost in someone else. She reached across the table, her fingers grazing Mike’s hand. He leaned in closer, whispering something in her ear, making her giggle like a teenage girl.

Anthony’s world tilted.

His fists clenched around the steering wheel, and for a moment, he considered storming in there, flipping the table over, demanding answers. But something stopped him.

Not yet.

He needed to be sure.

The Investigation

Anthony didn’t go home that night. Instead, he parked a few blocks away and sat in his car, thinking.

Mike had been his closest friend since college. They had been through everything together—bad breakups, job losses, late-night drunken confessions. And Shayla? She was supposed to be his person, the one who swore she loved him, the one who talked about marriage and kids.

So how long had this been going on?

His mind raced back to all the times Mike had shown up at their apartment unannounced, the way Shayla had suddenly started keeping her phone close, the late-night "girls’ nights" that didn’t add up.

Anthony pulled out his phone and did something he never thought he would do.

He checked Shayla’s location.

And there it was—The Blue Orchid Lounge.

She had been there before.

His chest tightened. He scrolled through old messages, looking for clues, anything that could confirm what he already knew in his gut. But the messages were clean, too clean.

That’s when he decided—he needed to see it for himself.

The Confrontation

The next night, Anthony waited. He pretended everything was fine, kissing Shayla when she got home, asking about her day. She smiled, acting as if nothing was wrong. But when she said she was heading out for another “girls’ night,” his stomach dropped.

"Have fun," he said, forcing a smile.

As soon as she left, he followed.

And just as he suspected, she wasn’t with her friends.

She was with Mike.

This time, at a hotel.

Anthony’s vision blurred with rage as he watched them disappear inside. His body screamed for him to act, to do something, but he felt frozen. His mind played memories of every moment he had spent with Shayla, every time he had trusted Mike with his deepest thoughts.

It had all been a lie.

By the time they emerged an hour later, Anthony had made his decision.

The Fallout

The next morning, Shayla walked into their apartment like nothing had happened. She kissed Anthony’s cheek, humming to herself as she grabbed a cup of coffee.

"You sleep okay?" she asked.

Anthony set his phone down, staring at her. "Yeah. Did you?"

She nodded, sipping her coffee. "Mmm-hmm. Girls’ night was fun. We stayed out late."

That was it. The lie. So casual, so easy for her to say.

Anthony clenched his jaw. "You sure about that?"

She blinked, setting her cup down. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I saw you, Shayla." His voice was eerily calm. "At the hotel. With Mike."

The color drained from her face. "Anthony, I—"

"Don’t lie," he cut her off sharply. "Not after everything we’ve been through."

Tears welled up in her eyes. "I didn’t mean to hurt you."

Anthony scoffed. "You didn’t mean to hurt me? So what, it just happened?"

Shayla sobbed. "I don’t know how it got this far. It was a mistake—"

"A mistake?" His voice was like ice. "How long, Shayla? How long has this been going on?"

She hesitated.

"Tell me the truth," he warned.

"…Six months."

His heart stopped.

Six months. Half a year. While he had been planning a future with her, trusting Mike, they had been sneaking around behind his back.

He took a deep breath. "You should go."

"Anthony, please, let’s talk about this—"

"I said go."

She sobbed harder but nodded, finally realizing that the damage was done. She packed a bag and left without another word.

But Anthony wasn’t done yet.

Mike’s Turn

Anthony didn’t call Mike. He didn’t send a message. He just showed up.

Mike’s apartment door swung open, and his eyes widened when he saw Anthony standing there.

"Hey, bro, what’s up—"

Anthony didn’t let him finish. He punched him.

Mike stumbled back, clutching his jaw. "What the hell, man?!"

"You know damn well what." Anthony stepped inside, slamming the door shut behind him. "You slept with Shayla."

Mike’s face paled. "Anthony, I—"

"You were my brother," Anthony hissed. "I trusted you. And this is how you repay me?"

Mike swallowed hard. "It wasn’t supposed to happen."

Anthony let out a bitter laugh. "Right. Just like it wasn’t supposed to happen last week? Or the week before?"

Mike ran a hand over his face. "I messed up, man. I—I didn’t know how to tell you."

"You didn’t want to tell me," Anthony corrected.

Silence filled the room.

"You’re dead to me, Mike," Anthony said finally. "Stay away from me. And stay far away from my life."

Mike nodded, defeated.

Anthony turned and walked away.
