Amber and Wayne’s secret was buried… until someone uncovered it.

"Secrets Never Stay Buried"

The past had a funny way of clawing its way back to the surface.

For months, Amber and Wayne thought they had buried their secret deep enough that no one would ever find it.

They had been careful. They had covered their tracks.

But secrets—especially the dangerous ones—always had a way of coming back.

And now, someone had uncovered theirs.

The Warning

It started with an envelope.

Amber found it on her doorstep, lying there as if it had been casually tossed. No name, no return address.

Just a plain white envelope with a single word scrawled across the front in bold, black ink:

"I KNOW."

Her breath hitched.

Hands trembling, she snatched it up and rushed inside, locking the door behind her.

Wayne.

She needed to call Wayne.

Wayne’s Reaction

Wayne picked up on the first ring.

"Amber?" His voice was laced with concern.

"You need to come over. Now."

She didn’t explain. She didn’t have to.

Wayne must have heard the fear in her voice because twenty minutes later, he was knocking on her door.

Amber barely let him inside before shoving the envelope into his hands.

He opened it cautiously.

Inside, there was a single photograph.

A grainy, black-and-white image taken from a distance. But it was clear enough to see what it showed.

Amber.

Wayne.

The night it happened.

Wayne’s face hardened. "No one was supposed to know about this."

Amber swallowed hard. "Well, someone does."

Wayne exhaled sharply, running a hand down his face.

"This ain’t good," he muttered.

"No kidding," Amber snapped, pacing the room. "Wayne, if someone knows, they can—"

A sharp knock on the door made her freeze.

Both of them exchanged a look.

Wayne moved first, cautiously peeking through the peephole.

His whole body tensed.

Amber’s stomach dropped. "Who is it?"

Wayne stepped back, his voice grim.

"It’s Anthony."

The Confrontation

Amber hesitated before opening the door.

Anthony stood there, his eyes dark, his jaw tight.

He stepped inside without an invitation.

"Someone want to explain this?" He held up a copy of the same photo.

Amber’s heart pounded. "Where did you get that?"

Anthony’s gaze burned into hers. "It was left for me. Just like I’m guessing it was left for you."

Wayne crossed his arms. "What do you want, Anthony?"

Anthony’s expression was unreadable. "I want the truth."

Silence.

Then, Amber exhaled shakily. "Anthony, we never meant—"

"I don’t care about what you meant," he interrupted. "I want to know what happened that night. The whole truth."

Amber looked at Wayne, her throat dry.

Wayne clenched his jaw. "If we tell you, there’s no going back."

Anthony’s voice was low. "There already is no going back."

Amber inhaled deeply, steadying herself.

And then, finally—she told him.

The Secret Revealed…

What did Amber and Wayne do that night? Who sent the pictures? And what will Anthony do now that he knows the truth?
